I just love a newborn they are so fresh and new, it’s like breathing in life when you hold one. I especially love a chubby one too:) I was so excited when some of my favorite clients Josh and Megan brought this little man into the world the day after Father’s day! What an incredible father’s day gift:) It has been so exciting and such a privilege to be able to document their story from maternity to newborn portraits. I just adore all 9lbs & 140z!!!

It’s hard to believe only a few more weeks till back to school. I am excited for the fall to come since it is my favorite season, especially my first fall in Charleston, I can’t wait:) Though, I will miss the long careless days of the summer. I love sleeping in, road trips, and nothing beats a hot day like some ice cream and a movie!

I wanted to share Michelle’s bridal portraits that were for her May wedding. Michelle is just beautiful and was awesome in front of the camera. She really rocked these pictures, and I had a great time with her and her mom two the the nicest people you could meet!

A couple weeks later they announced Megan was pregnant, that means they were pregnant during the shoot and didn’t know it yet!

One of my Favorite parts of being a photographer and having my own business is the time I get to spend getting to know my clients. It’s an awesome experience to make friends with them. I feel like I can be so much of a better photographer when I truly understand who they are and their style. And it’s just so much fun,  Megan and I often find ourselves texting each other during the week about our Twilight obsession:) Eclipse was soooo good wasn’t it???  lol

Sue hired me to capture some updated head shots for the release of her new novel. You can check out her newly released book at amazon.com. One of my favorite parts of meeting clients is being able to photograph them in their own home. There is something so special and relaxing about being able to meet clients in their home and getting to know them a little better. During my visit to the Duffy home Sue’s husband showed me their hallway of old family photos. I love seeing those old black & whites, and knowing how much these images are cherished and loved! I truly believe you will never regret taking the time and investment to have gorgeous pictures of your family made, but only opposite. You never know who will love & cherish those photos in the future:)

I am sure you have seen this beautiful face all over my website and blog before. If not meet the beautiful miss Kala, she graduated from highschool a few weeks ago. I love this girl to pieces, she is like my baby sister, and I am so proud of her! Kala will be attending college in the fall in Charleston! Yay, I am so excited to have her near by I could just dance:) We had so much fun spending the weekend in Charleston and taking her senior pictures:) Enjoy the slideshow……….

Michelle & D.J. used to be our neighbors when we lived in Florence, and I was so thrilled when Michelle hired me to shoot her wedding. I only accept a handful of weddings a year due to my busy weekend schedule, but this was one that I was so honored to be apart of! Michelle & D.J. are such a fun loving couple, and as you can see Michelle is just breathtaking, the camera loved them both. They were married Saturday, May 1st at Traces Golf Club in Florence SC. I am so excited to reveal Nichole Alexandra Photography’s all new logo & new fresh look. This has been been 8 months in the making, and has been well worth the wait! I just love it, and am so excited about the direction NA Photography is going in! A huge thank you to Luxecetera design boutique for their amazing work! The process of branding was a huge job, I feel so fortunate to have had such a great team of  designers. I specifically got to work with the very talented Ashley! She was completely awesome, and so great to work with. At the beginning I didn’t know exactly what I wanted it all took look like, so poor Ashley not only had to be designer but a mind reader as well..lol  I have just loved every piece she designed for me, so the end result is something I am so excited about!

My second big news is NA Photography is relocating to the Charleston area, yes we’re moving!!! I don’t think I have ever been so excited to move in my life:) This has been a dream of my husband’s and I since we were dating, and an awesome opportunity as come our way to go there. We are just tickled and so completely blessed that God has given us this dream! Don’t worry though I will still be coming down to the Columbia area for sessions, but now you can come visit me in fabulous Charleston to do your beach sessions! :)

Well this was for sure one of those times! For the March Issue of Reach Out Columbia I had the privilege to shoot their cover story. This month’s article not only is fabulous but it is very near and dear to my heart! Growing up in foster care I can relate to some of the hardships these children face, and strongly believe that places like the Jubilee Academy can save a child’s life!

The article is about Columbia, South Carolina’s very own Blind Side story. Sandee Hensley founded Heartworks Ministry, an after school program for inner-city children, as well as Jubilee Academy which provides a safe, nurturing, Christian environment for inner city children. During her many years of  ministry God put in her path a young man named Todd McClintock. Through her years of dedication and mentoring she was able to help direct Todd who was recruited to SC very own Clemson  University! Since graduating from Clemson Todd McClintock is back in Columbia, and has joined the staff of Jubilee Academy as assistant head master! WOW, isn’t that just amazing…… I love to see how God works things in full circle. If you are in the Columbia area hurry and go grab yourself a magazine so you can read the rest of this amazing story!

And let me tell you, the day I visited Jubilee Academy for the shoot was such a wonderful experience. It was such a happy, and inviting place. And these children are absolutely darling, you would never have known you were walking into a school for inner city children who have come from backgrounds filled with gangs, drugs, abuse, sex and crime.
